Error Opening Program

I'm trying to capture video and I go to open Pinnacle Studio 9 (just the standard, unpatched version), and for some reason I get an error window that pops up every time titled "Microsoft C++ Error" or something of that nature. All that it says is "CRT not initialized." Anyone know how I can fix this? I really wanna capture and encode this stuff from my video camera before I go to bed.

I've already tried rebooting, completely shutting down and waiting a few minutes, and am in the process of doing a repair install of the program right now. Suggestions?

I've been running it fine for over a year now without installing the patch.

That's not to say I haven't tried. It worked fine on my other system but for some reason the patch doesn't work when I try to open it on this system. I don't think patching would solve anything, just because I've been using the program frequently for a long period of time now without any problems. Thanks though.

Any others?
