I have a question on some error messages I've been getting after I installed Internet Explorer version 7. I didn't have them with version 6 and I'm thinking maybe it's something running on my computer that might be causing these. (I have a HP Pavilion running Windows XP Home edition)
When I close Internet Explorer most of the time but not all of the time a message box pops up with a heading
"iexplorer.exe-Application error" and the message " The exception unknown software exception (ox0eedfade) occurred in the application at location 0x7c812a5b"
Hitting the button on this box to close it, another smaller message box opens up with the heading "Error" and the message "Runtime error 217 at 023CFD29".
I googled both of these and nothing substantial comes up but there is a few references from Microsoft's support site which says to update ie7 to correct. Updating my computer, the problem still exists. I've had this for a few weeks now, and it is starting to get a little irritating! Has anybody encountered this with a solution? I know our office computers at work have ie7 and they're fine. Any ideas would help,
Thanks, Tom
