i have a new computer running w2k pro that will every so often will give me a blue screen wiht this error message:

beginning dump of physical memory

what the hell does it mean?

and for future reference, where can i go to get the answers for myself
 
The 0x0000001e part can be checked at Microsoft's website by simply entering that into their Search textbox.

Something to check for - are the numbers always the same? Maybe it's a memory problem - use Memtest86+ to check for errors - when you use that, go through the menus there, and enable the following:
Test Cache
All Tests
All RAM
Those are in the first three menus. Then let it run a few passes - overnight is a good bet to let it do its thing. Even one error isn't a good sign.


Also, it says g400dhd.dll - Matrox G400 card perhaps? Try updating the drivers for it from Matrox's website?
