Sometimes when I fire up my computer with a ATI 9500PRO I get an error message saying that it couldn't complete a drawing and that I may have to update my drivers. Any idea what this might be?

I'm not sure what drivers I'm using, but I'm using the drivers that came with the card. They shouldn't be that old. I'm a little reluctant to go to the newest drivers because when I did this last time with another 9500PRO card, my 3d benchmark scores suffered big time. I lost almost 2,000 points and my video became really choppy.

Any idea on how to fix this?

TIA,

Sal

Well do you want a bad 3D Benchmark score or a working PC? ;)

I'm running the latest Cat 3.6s with a ATI Built 9500Pro, no problems...

Did your score change when you updated the drivers? Maybe it was an isolated problem with the other card? I just get this error message occasionally. Do you have any idea what could be causing the error message?

Should I use a driver cleaner when updating the drivers?

Thanks again.

try reinstalling your directx!
Should I just go to Microsoft's site for this? Do I need to uninstall my old directx or just reinstall over it? Is directx 9 out yet?

Thanks again.
