I am having a problem while trying to install XP professional. After the first restart it says:
"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
If this is your first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart you computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check your hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated. Run CHKDSK/F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.
Technical information:
***STOP: 0x0000007B ()xF898563C, 0x0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)"
I am a newbie at this stuff so any help would be appreciated. I was trying to do a clean install of XP on my desktop. I think I am the point of no return and i don't know how to run an anti virus or any of the other fixes while the OS is stuck in this blue screen.
Thanks!!
