Error message when shutting down computer

I get an error message when I shut down my computer and I dont know what it is, and how to remove it. The message is:
FATAL Exception OE at 0028:C0296948 in VXD VWIN32(05) + 000012D0

Anybody have any idea what it is and how to fix it?

Welcome to the forums, Kadlet,

First off, you might want to give some more details. When did the problem start, did you change anything, what OS are you running, etc.

One place to start is in safe mode. Try shutting down in safe mode, if it works ok, then you know you have a software problem.
