Error message using IE6 and browsing AT forums

I'm still using IE ver 6 and during the past few weeks I've noticed that while I'm browsing AT forums, sometimes I'll get an error message box and as soon as I "OK" the box to close it, the browser window closes.

Is there an issue with IE6 now or something new in the AT forum software that doesn't like IT6? Seems like it happens on my home computer and not others mainly. I'm a creature of habbit and have held off upgrading to 7 but ... just wondering if anyone know of an issue.

That sounds like a browser plugin is crashing, which is taking down IE. No changes here I know of what would explain it. Can you try shutting down some plugins and see if you can narrow down which one?

I don't have any problem viewing the forums with IE6 so I'd have to agree with Bill's guess that a plugin is causing the problem and not IE itself.

Plug in. Sounds good to me. It is only on one of my two home machines that this happens. I just happened now again but its not frequent. Anyway to no how to narrow it down? It just happened again on AT forums and it seems to only crash IE6 when I'm surfing the AT forums. Hmm..
