Error Message Trying To Update Nuvi

Just took a new Garmin Nuvi 1390T out of the box. An updated map is available, but when I tried to install it I received the following message:
The specified I/O operations on\Device\Harddisk\DR 234\was not completed before the time-out period expired.
This happens at the very beginning of the install process, when the progress bar is showing 1%. Three attempts, three fails.
Any ideas? Thank you.

How did you try to do the update? Did you have it connected to your pc?

Got it done. I had the unit plugged into a USB port on the monitor. Once I switched to a USB on the PC, it installed just fine.

I hate that! My card reader is the same way. I have 2 USB ports on the front of my case that work fine but the 2 on the card reader won't do a lot of things. I always forget about that...
