"Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Everytime I reboot I get this. And I reboot a lot because my system hangs whenever Windows tries to update itself...which is always. But when I go to try to turn Automatic Update off, it always hangs again.

So I can't do anything. aarg!

Try disabling the service by going to Start > Run. Type in services.msc. Stop the Automatic Updates service and set it to disabled.
