Hey I have a x800gto2 flashed to x850 and OC to 545 595 with amd 64 3200 slightly oc, asus mb, 2 gigs ocz plat and over the past month or so I have been getting a blue screen error reading:
stop:0000008e
ati2mtag.sys (something)

Its normally not to big of a deal it will eventually load me into windows after a try or two but sometimes it wont after several restarts loading into safe mode etc. I have searched all over the web looking for a solution but have had no luck. I did read on one of the websites that it is part of the bios flash mod and could possibly be deleted?? thanks for your help

You have a bad driver install ati2mtag.sys is located in the drivers folder. Uninstall all the ATI drivers and start over. Make sure you have removed them all.

It's ATI's driver set. Update to the latest ATI drivers. If that doesn't resolve the issue, reflash your Radeon to the default/normal settings, and try again.
