I was told the people on here were geniuses... They never said you couldn't read minds.

1) ATA 100
2) 1998 Award
3) No
4a) Old system 4b) No
5a) Yes 5b) Changed the case
etc...) Tried different about 15 - 20 different sticks of RAM
Everything worked fine 1/2 hour ago when it was in a different case.

I was hoping if you have seen a 00,08 error it would be a universal solution. That is why I did not give any details.
I would be surprised if anyone who is on AT has even seen this error. A solution on the web does not exist.

Ahh...thats the kind of stuff you can't leave out! Pull everything out of the case, lay it on some cardboard, and fire it up. That will rule out any shorting. If that doesn't work, its *possible* that you shorted the mobo during the move. Is this a new/untested power supply as well? If so, see if the problem also occurs with the old PS.

Have you tried booting the mobo outside the case?

if it starts up then you somehow shorted it to the case, check the mobo stand offs.

What's the exact text of the message?
ie: "Stop at 00,80" or "BIOS error 00,80" etc.....

Hmmmm that's a good one. Did you try removing the mobo from the case as 1966 suggested? To rule out any weird grounding problems?

Thorin

I got it.

Reset the BIOS.

It gets to the logon screen. I have to put this aside now, more pressing issues.

Thanks for your help. Sorry to waste your time.

Next time I attempt to Post I will be sure to give a better description.

It wasn't a waste of time because now I know the answer for next time someone asks 😀

Glad you got it goin!
