After post (on the same screen where it shows 'Scaning CD for bootable CD ROM' when boot from CD is selected, I get a message saying "error during SMRAM initialization".

Windows wont boot or run correctly, and before this error was occuring, the system was very unstable. Any ideas on what this could be?

I'm guessing that its something wrong with my motherboard - should I be looking for a new one? ( I hope not - I don't have the cash right now, and I can't RMA it... )

Not necessarily......

SMRAM = System Management memory

Since you do not have other ram to swap with, strip the system to cpu/ram/video only....what happens?

Try clearing the NVRAM in BIOS (ESCD)

So far none of those have worked. I think what I'm going to do is pull the RAM and take it to a local computer shop, and see if they can find any problems with it...

😉 I need to get this problem fixed soon, I can only work so long on a P100.
