Error Disabling Connection.

Im having a problem with being able to disable my local area connection. Everytime I try, it gives me the above message. Ive tried disabling my firewall to see if that was the case...but it did nothing.

Reason I want to do this is because I want to play HL2 in offline mode...and its getting to be a pain having to plug and unplug the cat5 from my the back of my PC everytime. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

perhaps there is a high priority process that is using the connection for something.

Try reinstallling the NIC drivers (uninstalling the device, then scan for hardware changes) to see if that works. Also try removing the network connection and zipping through the network setup wizard to see if that sorts it out.

Not got many ideas I'm afraid, it's quite a strange problem!
