error code 80070241 in vista

I have the same problem... is there any way we could do a checksum or something to establish whether or not the file is bad? What utilities could we use to do such?

EDIT: EAD681C323E1338A7DE2DC0F0FD8CBEA was my "MD5" hash thing... That was different that one listed in the other thread. Does that mean it was a bad download?

Did a quick search for ya. For what it's worth:

# as an HRESULT: Severity: FAILURE (1), FACILITY_WIN32 (0x7), Code 0x241
# for hex 0x241 / decimal 577
ERROR_INVALID_IMAGE_HASH (source file omitted 😛 )
# The hash for the image cannot be found in the system
# catalogs. The image is likely corrupt or the victim of
# tampering.
