Error code 39 on epox 8k7a

What does it mean and how do you fix it. I looked in the manual and it does not say anything about this error.
I have a 1.33 GHZ amd thunderbird with 512MB of DDR memeory. It runs fine but the onboard error leds say 39. Ihave tried the Epox support but have not heard from them.

Returned my Epox 8K7A last week to newegg RMA exchange.. they'll either send me a new one or a refurbished epox. I had a diff error, but my mobo also wouldn't post to BIOS. I had C1 (detecting ram) then I got some E2 error (not listed). Before u give up, try flashing the CMOS, Uppingthing the voltage on your ram, and disconnecting the unneeded componants. Try booting it, if it doesn't work.. get a new board.
 
I increased the voltage from defalt on the memory and vcore. I still had error 39. Epox support finally got back to me. Error 39 : Display different BUSes initialization error messages. What does this mean? I uninstalled the video card and started the machine without out any video adapter. The error message still appeared. Now what? Thanks for the earlier reply.

Perhaps you're running a 266fsb chip on a 200fsb (which shouldn't be a problem) but if your chip is designed for 200fsb and is running at 266fsb then I suggest u change the fsb frequincy on your mobo. (Although, I think that all 1.33ghz athlons run at 266fsb...??)
 
I forget, but I think in order to change the FSB frequency, you need to change a jumper somewhere on the board...your epox manual should tell you where it is.
 
OK, here is the latest from Epox support. As long as the machine shows "FF" during boot and goes into the os the codes do not mean anything. These numbers are used for debugging, when the machine does not boot properly. Though for the equipment in the machine I would think it would boot faster. When it bots it stay on the Windows 98 screen for a while the a black screen with a curser in the corner and then it goes into the desktop. I did not time this but it seems to take loner than expected which leads me to believe that there is still a problem. Epox also suggested to clear cmos and remove all equipment except chip, memeory and video card and see if it goes away. What do you think.
 
I suggest you give it a shot. But keep in mind, if you have an Ethernet card in your computer, the boot time will be much much longer--which is normal. Also it might be a registry error...the only way to fix that is to get Norton Utilities...or some similar program for debugging. And now that I think about it, make sure you have the latest drivers. For the mobo: 4-in-1 and AMD AGP MIniport driver.
 
Or get XP....my 8K7A loves it!! I haven't gotten error 39 before though. Epox is saying that as long as FF comes up and it goes into Windows then it doesn't matter what the codes say afterward?
 
I do have an ethernet card in the machine. Now that I think of it, the slow down during boot did occur after the card was installed.
Thanks now I can concintrate on the "39" once again.

I have not tried XP. I am running 98 on it right now. Yes, that is what epox told me. If during boot up it say FF it does matter what error code comes up after it goes into windows. They said that the error code was for debugging during boot up or if your machine did not boot.

Nothing was going wrong. I just kept getting that error. Anyway thanks you guys for your help. I am just going to see if I make some changes, if the old 39 goes away.
