Error code 189 when tryin to login from home

I get error code 189 when I try to login at my parents house on my old pc. It says something to the effect of you are not authorized to login to the forums. I took my pc home over christmas break and I could login fine. The isp I have there is earthlink, which I dont beleive is blocked. I;ve treid firefox and IE on the other pc but niether worked. Any suggestions?

The only thing I can think of is that perhaps the IP you have when your parents' computer is dialed into their ISP is within a range of IPs that the moderators banned to stop a troll that signed up many accounts from IPs in that range. AOL is the only ISP that is banned outright, AFAIK.

thats what i thought at first too, but it doesnt make sense that I can take this PC home and plug it into the router and can access it just fine. Its earthlink DSL provided by Sprint by the way, if that matters at all.

I get the same error when i use NetScape's Dialup ISP.
