Can you tell us if you are using a pci device or is it onboard?
It was the NIC, wasn't it?

yes its a pci nic card wireless 802.11g d-link it says device cannot start. same with my 4 port firewire pci card. think it may be a bios issue. but my other pci cards start just fine.

hey thanks, im readiing through those forum topics, and they are very helpful at explaining the reason behind my error code 10. seems that its all in the motherboard bios/apci/windows irq assignments. i just have to tinker until i find the right combination for my pci hardware in the pci slots. they also reccomend safemode - removing all hidden hardware & drivers. any other advice, how do i cure an error code 10, device cannot start?
