error 1935 when installing vcredist_x64

When installing crysis the installer tried to install the vcredist package but would stall causing an error 1935 popup to appear. I figured no biggy and just tried to install it off the exe on the disk. It stalled at the same point. I then downloaded the newest version and it still stalled. I have tried rebooting downloading hotfixes, downloading .net, a command line fix and closing all windows installer related processes and running as root. Any help is greatly apprieciated.
