I had a problem with this computer running XP Pro. It used to go through the boot process and after that it used to display a balnk screen with just a blinking cursor
at the top left corner of the screen. I changed the HDD and did a clean installation. The installation went fine, but after a couple of re-starts it has started giving me problems again. It goes through the boot process and when the XP screen comes on, it reboots itselft exactly after about 3-4 seconds (this is even before it displays the welcome screen). This problem occurs even if I am trying to start in in Safe mode, command prompt etc. One of the mesages displayed during the boot process is "error 116" and in the next line it displays "Press F4 to run setup".

The motherboard I am currently using for this computer is Intel D915GAV.

This installation is a clean installation, and i have not loaded any applications on the computer. All it is running is XP Pro with SP2. Now, it goes through the same process and automatically re-boots..

Any solutions for this problem? I am not sure if this is a motherboard problem or not.
Thanks
