Hey all,

I bought a new USB Logitech Click! Mouse. I installed the drivers, plugged it in... and it's extremely erratic. I swear I've tried everything. The weird thing is that the mouse works just fine in laptop (both running WinXP)

Can anyone think of what could be the conflict in my desktop???

THANK YOU!

I used to have the same problem with a dell optical mouse, it would freakout and shoot all over the screen. The solution, the mouse pad. The hard plastic ones reflect the light sometimes and make them go nuts. Try no mouse pad or another one.

it makes no sense that it works on my laptop but not on my desktop... it would seem that there would have to be a software or a driver problem... but i've tried everything that I could think of... :(

that sux. i have the lx700 combo coming, i hope i don't have the same issues. i'm shelving this rosewill cheapo becauseof this problem i think its either an interference or battery issue with me as i know nimh causes more problemss than alkaline, but i still get jumping and random clicking.

just out of curiousity, do you have spread spectrum enabled on either/or?

I bet you a dime this'll solve it:
[*]Advanced Settings Utility for MouseWare 9.76 and above Version: 1.1.0.1
[*]Instructions...

Once you've downloaded and executed it, tick all the applicable checkboxes (read the instructions link for this section) and choose a tracking optimization--precision is probably better.

Also make sure you have the latest MouseWare driver (9.76) installed.

If that doesn't work, then there's probably too much muck on your trackball. Flip your mouse over and clean the rubber ball inside. Also clean the rollers inside of debris.
