I just installed Vista Ultimate 32-bit on my system, and the only problem I've had so far is with what seems to be my mouse. I have a Logitech MX1000 wireless mouse, not bluetooth. This mouse has been working fine in XP for over a year, using the default MS mouse driver.
Once I put vista on my system, I could not scroll thru dropdown menus because the selector would keep moving to the top of the menu, as if the up arrow was stuck. I could click to make a selection, but it would float right back to the top. I installed Setpoint, the logitech driver. Doing this did not fix the problem, it only made it intermittent. After about 20 minutes of using my system, the problem returns, except this time it is like the left arrow key is stuck.
It's not my keyboard, because unplugging the mouse's receiver from the USB port and plugging it back in stops the erratic behavior. I've been reading about people having issues with wireless mice, but nothing that specifically links the MX1000 I have to Vista. I have not been able to find a fix for this either.
I did try changing the mouse settings in control panel as well as the setpoint software, such as pointer speed, disabling "enhance pointer precision", acceleration and such. Is this a common bug or what could be causing this glitch? My motherboard is an Asus A8N32 SLI Deluxe...is there some kinda problem with the nforce chipset's USB ports? No other USB devices are giving me any problems, just the mouse.
Otherwise, Vista is a nice OS and not as bad as many people have been saying.
