I have the same TV and did a lot of searching on that problem. As it turns out, HDMI is only designed to support HDTV resolutions which means 480i/480p, 720p, 1080i/1080p. If you feed the TV a non standard resolution through the HDMI port (1366x768, 1680etc )then the TV usually won't display anything. And if it does display anything it will either be upscaling or downscaling.

Bottom line, feed your HDTV either a 1280x720 or 1920 x 1080 signal w/HDMI (depending on whether its a 720p or 1080p TV). After that, adjust for overscan witht either the Nvidia or Catalyst drivers. 1366x768 wouldn't really improve PQ over 1280x720 when you're watching movies / HDTV. Might make the desktop a little crisper, but the Pansonic plasmas at 1280x720 still look great and text is very clear on mine.

VGA ports on SXRDs are crippled to only 1366x768 and they won't fill the entire screen (I owned a 60" KDS60A2000 for a few weeks). Send it a 1920x1080 resolution, then adjust for overscan.

So you just left the resolution at 1280x720?

I set the resolution to 1280x720 and then adjusted for overscan in the Nvidia control panel. Final resolution ended up being 1256x704 (if I recall correctly -- not in front of the TV right now). Desktop looks good -- maybe a few pixels of overscan at the edges.

Sure it's not 1366x768 but this still gives me a virtually perfect desktop (text looks great) and movies are perfect as well. 1:1 pixel mapping is overrated. Besides, it's not like you can get any content (movies, TV etc) that is at 1366x768. So if you had a DVD /HD player hooked up to it the TV would've upscaled / downscaled the signal.
