I don't understand. A Radeon 9800 Pro just appeared in your automobile? Did you buy it while drunk and don't remember???

Anyhow, congrats and enjoy the games :)

Well, as long as nebor could get one for sub $300 by a series of PMs and coupons from circuit city.... Nebor thought it was best to go for it.

BTW, Install was amazingly easy. Just unintalled Nvidia drivers, it restarted, once it got to POST, I turned it off.... Mistakenly removed the little white "AGP Pro" plastic piece from my AGP port, installed card, wondered why it didn't take up that extra space. Computer wouldn't start. Plugged white piece back in, started up computer, cancelled all prompts to install video drivers.... 640x480'ed my way to the ati driver website, downloaded 22mb cat 3.7 drivers.... install, restart... Bam. I'm in business.

Maybe it's just me, but quite a few of my games don't work very well on the 3.7 drivers. They seem to like 3.6 better...

LOL. The ultimate nVidiot bought ATi??? Hell must have frozen over!

If you have to tech difficulties, rage3d.com is the place to go. ATi employees post at and monitor their forums.

I thought you were waiting on nVidia's magic drivers.
This thread will be a classic if they come up with a last minute fix (not likely) that doubles performance on the nVidia cards.

Even the Grand Canyon was eventually worn down by the Colorado river even though it took 17 million years. Good job guys.)

I knew this would happen. One of the fanATIcs has cracked Nebor's password, and is now posting malicious content under his name.
