Im trying to figure out how to do this:

1.3^2.2(x). Estimate the derivative f'(2.3) to within two decimal places by using a small enough interval.

i tried putting 2.3 in and then solving for that, and then i tried putting 2.3001 and then subtracting what i got for 2.3001-what i got for 2.3 and then dividing by .001.

didnt work. any ideas?

thanks

I sure don't know what he means...'cause it works fine (but he is missing a 0 in his post).
(1.3^(2.2(2.2999)))-1.3^(2.2(2.3001)))/0.0002 = 2.177...
