It would essentially mean that the Democrats have continued to not learn their lesson as to why Trump won in the first place....

America is sick of the establishment - which is what we will inevitably get under Biden.

Establishment vs...

incompetent
racist
vindictive
knee jerk
Lazy (unwilling to do background work)
anti-science

We've learned over 4 years which one works better for the country. 250,000 people learned the hard way

yep. People will be afraid of having an "Indian" running the country. Look what happened after a Black guy won.

Yeah, I mean, it's not like Donald Trump vastly connected with the current Indian president and a large amount of people.

No... not at all...

Not everyone is a perfect box that you make them out to be, silly.

Again, you say all these things - yet 10M more Americans voted for Trump in 2020 vs. 2016. Now imagine how many more will vote against you in 2022 and 2024 when your holier-than-thou party does absolutely nothing. Nothing of any significance will change anything. The rich will continue to be the rich, the poor will continue to be the poor.

Those who don't learn from the past are damned to repeat it... You moronic twat.

If anyone needs to oblige to your statements above, it is undoubtedly you.

^and that did not help him win, at all. even more voted for Biden because of everything Homer listed.^

It is frankly baffling how you keep pretending Trump didn’t just lose by the largest margin for an incumbent in nearly a century.

What did Trump do that was of significance besides make the US the worlds #1 death zone for COVID?

I mean significant to the average joe who screams their blind loyalty to Trump above all else? I'll be waiting for that list. Remember significant to not only the average Trump loyalist but to middle class America.

Your post quotes the rich getting richer, that's not only what Trump's tax cuts did, he bragged about that very thing at a dinner table full of those rich people.
Trump Tells Rich Mar-a-Lago Friends "You All Just Got a Lot Richer" After Tax Bill (newsweek.com)

Oh, stick and stones, motherfucker. Your head is so far up your own ass can't see sunlight.

That would actually be ok. I mean it would be the final straw for this country. If they win, just everyone else go on strike and laugh at the absurdity of the idiots that have won

Well we did father/son as presidents (though not at same time). And got very close to husband/wife. Doing a full family ticket and acknowledging the incestuous hereditary aristocracy would be the final straw for this rotting edifice. I hope for Eric/Ivanka vs Hillary/Jeb 2024!

Who would be the anti-establishment candidate you think could not only win, but also change America for the better?

Any multitude of candidates that aren't about the establishment that rub-balls with others that have been in office for decades. Though really my statement was just partly explaining why Trump was elected in the first place - because people were given a false hope that he was anti-establishment.

Just like any other politician though - it was just a game of putting your best-buddies in lucrative positions of power and nothing but.

I believe your best shot was likely with Bernie. He was filling up stadiums with 3 decks of seating. Biden was filling parking lots in comparison. The establishment Democrats CLEARLY have a disdain for Bernie, because he isn't with the general establishment of the party. You aren't seeing him appointed to lucrative cabinet positions or VP picks.

Warren might have - but I sincerely doubt it, she was starting to show her true colors in the latest candidate race.

A definite maybe for Bernie then? What is the name of the person you would choose if it were up to you to pick a president?

Yep, folks supported Bernie in every way that they could except for voting for him. Establishment or antiestablishment, when push came to voting, the Dem primary voters picked Biden over Sanders. I’d have preferred a President Sanders as well but by the time the Arizona primary rolled around Sanders was out.

I voted for Bernie in the primary but I don't think he would have won the general. He has a passionate base but it's not enough, and there are too many moderate Dems that would probably not be driven to vote for him in the general, and definitely the independents would have stayed home. He would have lost the election and we'd have Trump.

Obama was our best shot in a while at a non-establishment candidate with progressive values and he did some good shit in his first two years but he had to deal with too many moderates in Congress for healthcare, and then a Republican congress stonewalled him the rest of the way.

This country is just not ready for real transformative change in a progressive sense.
