Eric Dickerson and Dan Marino now part of concussion suit against the NFL

As more and more of our heroes growing up (e.g. HOFers or well known players like Brett Favre, Tony Dorsett, Gale Sayers, Joe Namath, John Randle, Joe DeLamielleure, Bernie Cosar, John Mackey, Mike Webster, Jim McMahon, Bob Little, Randy White, Lee Roy Selmon etc.) are reporting these symptoms, how does the NFL survive these lawsuits? Even legends like Dick Butkus and Jim Brown who weren't part of lawsuits have already validated how fucked up some of these men are and they need help.

"There are legitimate problems. I've seen them," Butkus said. "When I'd go to the Hall of Fame and see some of these guys from one year to the next like John Mackey, you could really tell the difference. And it's not funny. It's too much of a coincidence, guys that I talk to and hear about are having problems."

“People want football and they want hard-hitting football, so to me it’s not the thing of hard-hitting football,” Brown said. “It’s at least taking care of your wounded. I don’t want football to not be played but I would like the sophistication brought forth to take care of those who need to be taken care of and to take the precaution, at the sacrifice of winning, to take care of people.”

Now that heavy hitters like Marino/Dickerson have joined the lawsuit, how much more will the judge rule for them over the $765mil settlement that was rejected in January? Can the NFL survive after the settlement, and if so will popularity wane? Are you guys still going to let your kids play football with this knowledge of all of these superstars having symptoms from concussions, including sub-concussive/repeated minor hits to the head known to cause CTE?
