Hey guys!

Has anyone gotten out of their Cingular contract early? I'm so fed up with their bad service! System/Network busy, dropped calls, no reception, and I never get my voicemail messages until a day or two later.!!

So has anyone gotten out of their contract early without any termination fees? How was your experience in dealing with them? I would like to know. Thanks guys!!

If I can get out of this, it's all about getting Verizon, ATT or Nextel for me.......

I feel you. I'm in Davis, CA and I use cingular. Free nights and weekends doesn't mean squat when you can't make a FREAKIN CALL!!!! I get good coverage in Davis but the circuits are always busy. Anywhere else, especially bay area, i get crappy reception. I was just in tahoe trying to make calls and I couldn't but my buddy with sprint had perfect reception. I want a new phone but i'm not about to renew for another year of this crap. Let me know how it goes getting out.. I WANT OUT TOO!!!!!

@#$@# cingular!!!!

Yeah...I'm in Berkeley...and I get good reception where I live, but anywhere around the Berkeley area and the campus sucks. I'm home in southern california right now and it's ok, but I get no reception in my house (I used to though..). I hate Cingular man!!!

It's stated right there in the contract about early termination and the fees associated with it. (There's contracts with every cell phone provider) The only way to get out of it is tell them you're moving to an area that Cingular doesn't support and have proof. You're pretty much SOL dood, sorry

Yeah..but under the contract, they're also supposed to provide quality service that WE, as customers, are paying for. Shouldn't we deserve the right to have some DECENT cellular service? No other cellular service has this problem except Cingular....therefore, they should do something about it and not force people to stay with such crappy service....

My friend called up, yelled at them about their horrible service and got out of his contract.

Sorry to hear that man. I hate CINGULAR!! I'm trying to hard to get out of this. Just keep complaining to customer service for now and let them know about this ASAP. Good luck!

in the good old days they were pac bell. they had good coverage and pretty decent plans. no mo. =) hey law ... think im gonna go with $35 verizon or that $30 att coverage plan. $46 bucks a month is just too much.

thing is ... with att if i ever decide to upgrade, i think ill lose long distance or something with att. the deal is "as long as you stay on the same plan" ... think thats what the website said. you bored too, man? =P dialup sucks!

Well, if you get a plan that suits you, then you'll be fine. A year will go by quickly as you know. So you shouldn't have to worry....plus, plans only get better. Look at the plans a year ago and compare it to now. Just ask the store for more details. Good luck!

My friend has unlimited night and weekend under his contract. The only problem is that he has to stay outside of his house to make the phone call. In house, the phone is dead as a door nail, hehehe...
He called them and they said that they only provided the service but there is no guarantee. it depends on the coverage area.
So I guess he should either stay out cold to make a phone call or consider to move the house to a better location, hehehe...

Won't they cancel your service after you don't pay them?? Also, what problems did you have with Verizon? I thought they're pretty good...I was thinking about switching to them...

if you don't pay them, they'll just f*ck up your credit, don't do that.

just call and bitch and try to get out of your contract. people have done it before.
