In 2000, you could make a ERD disk in case things went bad and was able to reinstall with repair options. Why doesnt XP have this? They have driver rollback which never worked for me and system restore which is ok but doesnt help you if xp doesnt boot anymore.

ERD = Emergency Rescue Disk
