erasing data from dead memory card completely

hello all,
recently my sandisk sd card got corrupted which i was using on my phone, i dont know what was the reason i was just using it normally, anyways i have tried lots of methods given on internet to recover it but the card seems to be gone for good as it is not being detected anywhere.

I even tried formatting it with gparted but even there it does not get detected, so i am assuming there's a hardware fault in it and i cant access it myself so i wanted to rma it as its still in warranty but i want to completely erase the data off it before sending it for rma, is there any way i can erase it completely as i cannot access it via any method on the pc.

I have a full nandroid backup of my phone on that card and backups of my important banking apps too, which i am afraid could leak my passwords or personal info if fell into someones hand. is there any way i can delete the data or will i have to just toss that card in fire, also what do sandisk do with the data on bad cards it recieve?

If the card is dead, it is dead. Just destroy it physically and your data will be safe.

Pretty much this, if you think the data is THAT important, then take a hammer to it.
I find it funny how people are concerned over their data on a SD card, yet, they use apps on their cellphone that have already gotten all your data.
