Eraser wars: Magic Rub vs. Staedtler

Today I was walking to my midterm and I realized I forgot my eraser (Staedtler). I bought one on the way to class (Magic Rub) because both it and staedtlers were going for the same price. I believe at Staples though, Magic Rubs are cheaper. That said, I've had positive experiences with both erasers.

Which do you think is better?

This one japanese mono eraser was the best I've ever used.

I like Staedtler because it's firmer but i'm currently using these pens and i will never go back to pencils unless necessary:

Magic Rub is softer and seems to erase better and smear less than Staedtler.
