Equivalent of Shift+Restart?

Do you guys remember when you used to hold down shift while clicking the restart button once you had clicked Start*Shutdonw in windows 98????

is there an equivalent of that in winXP?? this thing is driving me nuts......takes a hella lot longer than 98 to boot up
