I am trying to install an Epson V30 scanner in conjunction with my Acer laptop running Vista Home Premium (32 bit) logged in as an administrator. When I put the CD in the drive it is recognized, but the setup program does not display. Two mystery files were there: "_setting" as a file folder and "Epson" as a file (in addition to so other file folders).
I took the disc to another machine, also running Vista Home premium (32 bit) and the setup launch icon was immediately visible, but the two mystery files above were not. Any idea what gives?
