I have an Epson Stylus Scan 2000 that rocks in 98SE! The driver XP sets it up with is useless. The driver Epson recomends for XP on their website sees and lists the printer but doesn't function. I scoured the Internet and found a french site that claimed to be able to make it work but my college French isn't up to it. I scoured the usenet files and was able to find 2 people with the same predicament. One gave up and the other told me he had some success using the USB connection rather than the paralell connection. He claimed it would print but the usefull printer utility software that came with the printer wouldn't work. He wasn't clear if only the maitenance utillity failed or if the software witch allowed scanning and faxing with the Stylus Scan failed.
Funds are tight. I'd rather invest in a faster computer or a top of the line printer "IF" I could afford it. I'd rather keep this stylus scan going instead of buying a $50 - $100 printer now.
