Officemax finally lowered their price on the Epson 820 to $99.99. Add in some rubber bands or something small to get it over a $100 and then slap on the $25 of $100 code and you're done.

Search the normal places for the coupon.

Coupon-Codes.(what you catch fish with) is pretty useful

That Omax rebate looks really weird. It is the exact same rebate on the Epson website that expired on 4/30. It even goes to the same address. I don't know if you can count on getting this rebate. I really wanted this printer for a gift and forgot the rebate expired on 4/30 so if anybody can come up with something here, it would be much appreciated.

I bought this printer a couple of months ago. I love the printer but be warned that I cannot find a cheap source for the ink carts. It appears that this printer takes a special cart that is not available at the discount places yet.

From what I read, this printer is very good for photo's, I'd only consider the 785epx if you really need the PCMCIA slot.

wow... $8 is nothing for cartridges. I think it's time to donate the Lexmark to the garbage vultures in the neighborhood.

Are these cartridges from Megatoners NEW generics or are the refilled?

Thanks coyw! I just paid $13 each for black and color cartridges from 123inkjets.com. Next time I'll use megatoner.com and save some real bucks!

Good find!

How did you order these from 123Inkjets (terrible company by they way, the suck and I will never give them another dime).? I thought these new Epson smart cartridges couldn't be refilled because of the smart chip in them.

epson just said this. $99 fom now on!
Staples, CompUSA all show such price.

May be call in officemax to pricematch staples and see if they accept the coupon. Then send in the $50 MIR.

As I stated in my original post, I already tried that. Officemax's PM policy is very strict, they take coupons and mail in rebates into account when doing PM's. The MIR states that Staples and Costco must go thru their own mail in rebate or else Staples would be the way to go with this deal.

they just lowered the price on the Epson C80's to $149.99
Maybe look into this and use a $30 off $150 from your local deals website.

I think the C80 is a better overall color printer if you need it for your everything printer, but for photos the reviews seem rather mixed but lean more towards not so great. I like the seperate ink carts on the C80, but if it doesn't do photos as well and the seperate ink colors are still almost as much as a whole color cart for the 820. Not to mention it's $50 more.

Worst case I might just wait for OfficeMax to lower it to $99 in the next couple days and then apply the $25 off $100 coupon.

The C80 is more of an office printer. It looks like a hell of an office printer, but it doesn't look like it would be better than the Photo 820 for printing photos (I know that sounds obvious...). The 820 has 6 colors and has the borderless printing. I don't have much experience with Epson products so I can't address how necessary those features are, but they are not available on the C80.

For me, I've got an HP DJ820Cse that does great black text (and good color) and can go forever on a cartridge. I'm just needing a photo printer, and $99 sounds good to me.

icic, i just thought it was really neat how you could print photos w/o a computer on the 785epx. i guess it's not worth the extra $100 that it costs.

By the way if you really do want that model with the PCMCIA, I noticed that Epson's website had some refurbed models for $169.

It is kind of a neat feature, but from what i read it prints slower while doing this.

new metallic case? Anybody seen this?

Why do they keep putting card slots on printers? That's the dumbest thing I've seen since the Mavica! If you have so much difficulty learning to use a mouse, how did you muster the skill needed to take the picture in the first place. Frightening, really.

The 780 compatible cartridge from megatoners has a chip on it.

When I install it, I get a message about it not being an Epson cartridge.

Just an informational box, you just click yes. It does not stop the catridge from working. Only get message when you install a new cartridge.

Instructions came in the box.

I think they run $8 each because of the chip.

I only paid $2/$4 for Blk/Color for my chipless 880.

They are new compatibles not refills.

Also free shipping if you order 15.

I have Amex Platinum. I wanna PM with this place for $90.

$150 - $60 (Amex PM) - $50 MIR = $40

I don't know if OM's rebate is valid or not.

Does anybody know if Amex PM out of stock item?

The Epson 820 is a very good photo printer,I got one from a Staples MIR and I love it,
you get alot of photos out of a set of ink
the price of the Epson ink is worth the quality of the photos, and they cost less then HP ink
if you want to print good photos this printer rocks if you use the Epson paper and ink
Staplels has a good price on Epson ink & paper , I love the Epson MAT, very rich colors

the C80 ink is big $$$

I ordered 1 on 5/4 for $125 with $50 rebate. I called Amex this morning for PM and bring it down to $100 - $ 50 MIR = $50. Amex Optima PM will be discontinued on 6/1.
