Ripped from CNET (of all places!)

Here's the scoop: Buy.com has the Epson Stylus CX7450 printer/scanner/copier for $70. They also have a deal going where you can get a $70 mail-in rebate if you purchase a digital camera at the same time. Any digital camera. Like the $9.99 Argus Keychain Digital Camera. Add $6.79 for shipping and your out-the-door price is $86.78. Final price after rebate: $16.78. Woo! {See below for how to get an additional $10 off!}

The CX7450 employs four separate ink cartridges (one each for black, cyan, magenta, and yellow) and promises print speeds of up to 28 pages per minute. It includes a memory-card reader, a 120-sheet paper tray, and fairly basic scan/copy features. It's new, not a refurb. As for the camera, well, it's junk. It does double as a webcam, though, so maybe you'll get some use out of it. If not, it's a perfect play-camera for the kids.

No rush on this one: The rebate deal is good until March 31. Of course, the $9.99 camera may not be around nearly as long.

======================================

Also, with any purchase of $25 or more at buy.com, you can choose a free magazine subscription. If you decline this, you can get a $10 rebate instead, bringing the price down to $6.78!

The $70 Epson rebate can be used for any of the following printers: Epson Stylus® C88+, C120, R280, R380, CX7400, CX7450, CX8400, CX9400Fax, CX9475Fax, Epson Stylus Photo RX595 or RX680 in combination with the purchase of ANY digital camera or computer. Also, note that this rebate is good *anywhere* except for Best Buy, Office Max, or Beach Camera.

If you want to squeeze out a little more out of this deal with buy.com, there are 5% affiliate coupons that can be found via a Google search (I won't provide links here since I believe affiliate links are prohibited).

I used this deal to get myself the RX595 photo printer for $50 shipped. Not bad for a high quality photo printer that can also scan directly to memory cards in .pdf format!

By digital cameras they mean only digital cameras or webcams too? I wouldnt ask this silly question, but the rebate form says that phone cameras are excluded, so maybe webcams are not?

PS: When buying one of the "better" printers listed, the ink costs alone will completely negate any rebate savings in just 1-2 refills. 3rd party ink is not available for these as far as I'm concerned...
This is actually an interesting market strategy. Sell printers cheap, and then make money on people buying ink...

Not sure about digital cameras vs. webcams. The rebate is not clear about that at all. To be safe, you're probably best off sticking with the $10 cheapie digital camera.

As far as the inks go, that is a very good point. I'm looking for a printer that will allow me to print very high quality prints of photos from time to time, and with 6 ink cartridges I should be good to go with that. I may print text documents here and there, but I assume there would be a way to decrease the quality setting for this type of print, thus saving ink. And the kicker for me was the ability to scan documents directly to .pdf - this feature alone makes the printer I got worth the $50 cost. Any mail I get will be scanned to .pdf and the paper will be recycled.

Yeah - actually I should mention that the $70 rebate in this thread can be used anywhere except for Best Buy, Office Max, or Beach Camera.

Amazon has the same price on the printer but couldn't find a better deal on a camera. In for one and shipping for me was also only $3.54. Thanks OP!
