A decent printer, ours at work broke though after 3 months of use. I guess it wasn't made for office work.

You think? A laser is probably what you need.

Uhhh, we have a laser B&W for the network, but each office also has their own. I purchased this C84 so we could do nice color prints when we needed to. Aparently the two people sharing that office decided to use it for everything.

Has anyone tried generic compatible cartridges with this printer? I noticed they used to be $8-9 each at Megatoners a few weeks ago, which was almost the same price as geniune Epson. Now they are around $4 there.

Yes, they didn't work very well at all. Poor and sometimes incorrect colors.

You can buy the C84 at OfficeMax with an iConcepts digital camera and, after coupon and rebates, the printer and camera end up being around $30. The iConcepts camera takes 100K pixel images, but if you don't mind the rebates it's a way to get the printer pretty cheaply.

I ordered this online and then noticed staples instore ad has a $20 gift certificate listed.
does anyone have a link to the gift certificate. That would make a great hot deal. @ staples.
printer for $99.98
-$20 off $100 coupon 34704
-$20 rebate
-69.97
with 20 dollar gift certificate ( I spend so much at staples it's the same as cash to me)

Both require original UPC & shipping invoice... what are the odds of getting both of these?
