Epson Printer Cleaning

Hey folks,
I have an Epson Stylus Photo 890 Inkjet Printer and it doesn?t print like it's suppose to anymore (I think it is because I used cheap non-Epson ink in it). I have tried and tried the cleaning feature build into the printer but I need to go deeper. Does anyone have any ideas, suggestions etc.?

Thanks for all you help in advance,
Corey

That's why I got rid of my Epson. I liked the print quality but was going through way too much ink to run the cleaning cycle to clean the heads. It got to the point like yours where the cleaning cycle wasn't doing it.

I searched the web and found a few suggestions. Many suggested putting a drop of alcohol on the print heads and stuff which I did and I killed my printer. (Stupid, I know.)

Anyway, went to HP and never looked back. I enjoy getting fresh print heads with every new cartridge. With Epson, the print heads are in the printer, not on the cartridge.

I know this doesn't help you, just wanted to tell my story. 🙂

Most all generic inkjet cartridges come with a guarantee that covers repairs to your printer if caused by the cartridge.

Try contacting the cartridge mfg.
