You have to get the coupon from techb@rgains and LINK thru, then place the item in your cart, etc
(You have to go to the FULL COUPON LIST to find the officemax coupon)

I called OM just a min ago to check the availability of the printer. I was told some delivery centers in NY still have some and I may have a chance to get one. So I just placed the order and wait.

Btw, there was nothing mention about the $20 gift card. Did I miss something or what?

Now that I have this printer on order.....can some explain the Epson roll of photo paper and does it work with this printer? Does this work out to be cheaper than buying seperate 8x10 sheets?

Os there an advantage to getting this roll?

I got this a while back when they were $69 and love it!
you get a roll with it to try out. i haven't tried it
from what i've read there are 2 drawbacks-
1
you have to work to uncurl it
2- you waste a bit cutting the printed part of the roll from the unprinted.

but if you have a large batch it's easier

also you can download qimage shareware - free for 30 days- actually pretty good and it automatically fits 3 4x6s on a 8x10 page for ya

FYI, I found one of the stores in my area (Southeastern MA/RI)is still stocking these. A few days ago they had 5 or 6 on the floor @ $99. So check around and bring your coupons, it is a great printer for the money.

The $25 coupon only showed up after I entered all of my info. It wasn't on the first few shopping cart screens.

Thank for the info on the rolled paper and software. Getting a few smaller prints on one 8x10 would be great.

FYI..I called the Daytona Beach, FL store (where my mom is to see if she could get this if I couldn't get it online) and they still have 1 left at $99 if anyone is close. I tried asking if they would match the $69 price from a while back and they wouldn't. Still, the current deal is good enough for me.

The 780 is a better printer (if you don't need the card reader or the roller attachment).

The 780 prints at 2880X720 with 6 color ink instead of the 1440X720 of the 875.

But the real question is is the 780 worth twice the price.

I'm going with the 875DC. The 780 isn't worth it because printing beyond 1440X720 uses a lot more ink for little to no return.

What is wrong with OfficeMax.com tonight? I've been trying to use the $25 off $100 coupon for about two whole hours. Got site errors and all kinds of problems. It didn't like IE 6.0 so had to use Opera. Finally I decided to just go through with the order all the way in case the coupon deduction doesn't appear until you confirm the purchase. Of course it didn't show the coupon and I had to contact their customer support. Hopefully they'll just apply the coupon. Their website is really rough around the edges compared to the one they had a couple years ago!

stingygrrl: Thanks... Turns out I was being an idiot and forgot to order something small to get over $100. Ah well, I fixed it all up and hopefully it'll work out just fine. This will be an awesome deal if we get the printers! Thanks again, can't believe I was so dumb. I guess I shouldn't try to order things when dead tired .

As for the 875DC...it's an awesome printer for the money. I got one last month for $69 and have printed some stunning digital photos using the Epson Photo Paper at 1440 dpi.

If the 780 was just a few bucks more I would have probably bought it...based on the fact that the Epson Photo printers just keep getting better and better. But at twice the price no way. Besides...in a few months the 780 will probably be under $100!

The 875 is very quiet and I do like the card reader feature. I did have a Sandisk card reader but why bother with it if the printer has it built-in..(one less item on my desk).

All in all, if you can score one of these at $75 bucks grab it!! BTW, I did see a few of these in stock recently at my local Sacramento area OM B&M.

Oh one more thing...OM has had a problem with the 875 missing the software and other parts. The one I got last month was missing the paper feeder! (went back to store and they accommodated me with new feeder tray no problems).. Also the box had a sticker on it with the words written in pen "software included inside".
