The market for something like this is very, niche, and Epson isn't helping by releasing a 6 MP camera in 2009. This is definitely not going to be a camera most people will even know about.

And the Leica M8 isn't even a terribly good camera at that...

For $6000 I'd much have a 5D II and some nice L glass, but the kinda of people who buy Leica aren't the kinds of people who buy a camera solely based on photographic performance either...

I'm dumbfounded why they couldn't find a better sensor to stick in it.

That's the same 6.1MP CCD Nikon has had on the market since 2004.

Can someone explain the cost of these things,they look like something so old it sits in the goodwill ?

I seen the leica's going for well over 2K ...what is the awesomeness of these ?
