Hey Everyone,

I recently ran into a problem with printing black and white documents. I got fading lines so I figured it was time to change the black ink. Well once changed, black no longer prints. Also noticed when printing color and doing a head test, shows missing lines.

Well I now realize the heads are clogged. Been reading through some google searches and it looks like lots of people have this same problem. Bad design it seems. I have pushed the head cleaning maitenance button many times, still no black will come out, and color not printing fully.

Ive found this posting on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...6&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

Short of paying 11 bucks for a e-mail document that may or may not work, anyone have any ideas or has solved this problem themselves without tearing open the thing? I think the printer just went over the 1 year warranty mark. Epson is so dissapointing =(. Need suggestions!

Thanks

Go thee forth and avail thyself of a Canon... Thy savings in inkwells alone shall recompense thy expenditure.

Hi, I have used and repaired many Epsons. Never have I seen a clogged head even on badly mistreated ones. You may have had a bad new cartridge. Try several cleaning cycles. If the head is truly clogged some Ink Cartridge vendors sell cartridges loaded with head cleaner solvents. Try one of those. Jim
