Well, I have the C80 and I too compared it with the 820. Both printers are very good. But if your looking for a photo printer, then you should stick with the 820. But if your looking for a B&W and just normal picture printing, then the C80 is good because its very fast.
The reason the 820 is better for photo is because it has more nozzles than C80. It has 240...unlike the C80 which has 180.
It also has 6 colors, unlike the C80, which only has 4.
But the good thing about the C80 is that it has individual ink tanks. I love that a lot! and it is much fast.
The resolution is the same: 2880x770...something like that.
The C80 is also very quiet.
But you did say you were looking for a photo printer; and I suggest the 820 for you....
BTW, the ink doesn't come with the 820. so if you use the rebate and then buy the ink, it will cost about the same for the C80; but thats not the point...the 820 is a good photo printer.
