EPS12v vs ATX12V

I'm a little confused by the power supply standards. The Tyan Thunder K8SR (S2881), requires "EPS12V/SSI (24pin + 8pin) power connectors". From what i can find, very few power supplies are of this standard.

Since I can't find these PSUs and even less cases with, I started looking at Supermicro Xeon servers. And they too have 24+8 pin PSUs but they state that they are "Cold-swappable 500W AC power supply module with PFC [ 20-pin or 24-pin, (8-pin=12V) ]" and the supermicro boards take ATX12V according to the manuals.

Is it possible to take one of these cases for the Opteron board? Or will i have a fried 400$ motherboard in the end?

Thanks
