So i went out and purchased the abit kn8 sli mobo to replace my dfi lanparty expert but now since my enermax psu comes with an eps power connector i cant connect the 4pin power thats next to the cpu. The system booted at first without that me using the connector but i would get no video signal. I thought i might just need a cmos reset but after doing so but now the mobo will not power up at all. Since i was not using the 4pin power would that be the cause of it now not powering up? The power lights still light up on the mobo, it just wont power up. Have I possibly fried something? Also my enermax psu does not come with any adapters to turn the eps power connector into a 4pin one. What other s939 mobos out there use the eps connector other than the asus a8n32sli and the lanparty expert? I dont want to buy another psu.
Im getting tired of messing with this damn system and intel is offering an accomodation at work that involves an E6300. an intel mobo and windows vista ultimate for $220 bucks. Should i just forget about my opty system and go with this?
