All the intel boards I'm lookin at for my conroe build use that 8pin EPS 12v near the cpu socket for additional power on the motherboard - compared to the 4pin I've used previously on my past amd board.

I'm trying to re-use my powersupply, Enermax 535W EG565P, which only has a 4 pin connector for overclocking an intel board with an 8pin EPS connector. Now, I've heard that the boards run fine with just using a 4 pin connector, what do you guys think about overclocking with just using the 4 pin connector. I don't wanna go out and buy another powersupply as I've only had this for a year and it's still in very good order.

Has anyone tried overclocking with stability using just the 4 pin connector instead of the 8 pin?

Most people I've talked to run fine. If you wanted you could go buy an adapter for about $10 or so.
