When using both the C-Media AC'97 sound on the RDA3+ or my old SB Live! 5.1 card my system hangs when I try and do any action that produces sound (ie: play games, run winamp, etc). It either hangs immediately, or does so within a few seconds of the sound starting. My system will either simply stop responding (no HDD activity, keyboard non-functional and mouse cursor frozen). About half the time the hang is accompanied by a high-pitched whine from the speakers.
I'm assuming it's a MoBo problem because it happens with both the onboard sound and my SB card. Updated all the drivers for all my components, and all the windows updates.
Any ideas?
