EPox or Abit or Asus!?!?!?

Ok, on top of my mobo lists are these three:

Epox 8K7a $115
AbitKG7(NO RAID) $125
Asus A7m266 $150

I dont know which one too pick, I heard good stuff about the 8k7a and its cheap. Abit Kg7 is recommended as power user board from tomshardware.com but I heard about the high chance of getting a faulty board. And my last choice the A7m266 is expensive, $150 for only 2 DDR slots and 5 pci?


Which route should i take?????

My choice would be the EPoX. I have been running mine for over three months, and it works great.

a lot of people get the epox. make sure you get 1.1. that board is also on top of my list since we dont have the a7m here. ill probably also get that if i cant wait for nForce. 🙂 good luck on your system!

EPOX all the way, a lot more tweakable than the ASUS A7M, and ABIT i simply don't like though from the features the ABIT-mobo should be great.
you should take a look at the "+"-version of the EPOX too which comes with HIGHPOINT-softraid or simply the benefit of two additional IDE-ports if you don't want to set up a raid-config.

Have you considered the ECS K7S5A with sis chip ?
Cheap amd works nicely, not much of an OCer.
