Epox Nforce2 w/2400

I just ordered an Epox 8RDA+ with an XP2400. What are your thoughts on this equipment? The anandtech roundup says that you can overclock it without modifying the chip. Any opinions will help.

Cancel the order and get something different. It always helps in my case.

I have an Epox 8RDA and have built 2 others with it.

They all work really well. If you are not installing Windows XP be sure to manually turn on the DMA for the CD/DVD drive.

Get the latest (2.03?) drivers for the motherboard and the latest BIOS.

Looks like a good setup. that's what i'd buy if i got a new AMD setup today.

you can unlock and FSB overclock the CPU just by plugged it into that board.
and you should be able to hit 2800+ speeds with ease I would think.

Yeah, my PC2100 RAM and 1800+ are running on 150mhz FSB even without unlocking.

I had the EXACT same setup at the same BUS speed late summer last year.
