Hi,
I want to upgrade my video card here sometime in the near future, but I am not certain that a Geforce2 MX or Radeon will run stable enough on my current system. I have heard some speculation that some socket7 boards have stability problems because they can not supply adequate power to the card. I have my system specs listed below, any help you could provide would be helpfull.

Specs:
Power supply: Austin 250watt in mid tower case
Mainboard:Socket7 Epox MVP3-GM with revision CE of VIA MVP3 chipset
CPU: AMD K6-2@400mhz
Memory: 128mb CAS3 PC100
Video Card: Creative Labs TNT 16mb AGP, AGP 2X drive
Hard drive: Western Digital 8.4 gig, 5400rpm

I can't say for sure, but I had an EPoX MVP3-G5 with a K6-3-450 on it with an ASUS 6600 (GForce256) and it worked fine. The 6600 sucks a lot of juice from the motherboard, I'd think that the MX would require less power because of the newer technology it uses.

Thanks for the tip, the ELSA geforce2 MX or Radeon 32mb DDR are both high performace cards so I have two options. If anyone else knows any issues with Socket7 boards and Geforce or Radeon cards your input is welcome since I will not be upgrading till this summer.
