EPOX Mainboard w/FastTrack RAID ** Problems on Bootup **

Ok, I figured out my Disk I/O errors. Now I have this problem...

I have one of the new EPOX 8KHA mainboards and I'm trying to setup a Promise Fasttrack RAID controller. The problem is, when I boot to a startup disk w/CDROM support to install WinME the system hangs midway through the system check (e.g. PCI Scan, etc.). It acts just like a hardware conflict which I've experienced on my KT7A w/Promise RAID controller. Usually all I have to do is remove all the other PCI cards and/or switch PCI slots to fix the boot problem. Once Windows is loaded, it can sort everything out. The only problem is that there is not any other cards in the box and I've tried every PCI slot.

Anybody with any ideas on a solution?

irq conflicts????? look in your manual to see what is exactly shared with what..

On the boot screen the Controller uses IRQ 11, and it doesn't show anything else using it. I've also disabled the serial and par ports to freeup as much as possible. Any other suggestions?

I have an 8k7a and a hacked up promise raid controller.

Make sure the card works in a diff system.
