NewEgg
I know this has been posted before, but they dropped the price a bit. Sure, this board isn't as good as the KT7A-Raid, but this is a lot cheaper.

be careful here. while the picture of the board shows 4 IDE controllers and all the benchmarks on this board are on the RAID version, this is NOT the raid version on sale. apparently the RAID version has not hit retail yet. for my money, considering it does not have the two extra controllers, i would go with the abit kt7A. both have that the KT133A chipset and people report that the epox tops out at 150 while abit goes all the past 150 mhz bus. newegg has a good price on that mobo too.

btw, someone tried to start a thread on newegg, but it got locked. anyone know how good a retailer newegg is? there are located in whittier, so i guess i could knock on their door and find out, but anyone know?

Ordered this board from Newegg on Monday, and received it today via FedEx saver. Couldn't have been smoother. Now if I could only say the same about the Duron 1000-1050 I ordered at OCZ on the same day.

Bump for a GREAT company! I ordered my 8KTA3 Tuesday and got it this afternoon! Definitely the best service I've gotten from an online company in a while. ;) Now if only my 3 sticks of RAM will show up so I can have a gig of PC133 . . . ;)

I got a Duron 750 for $68 from Newegg the same time I bought the 8KTA3. Don't know if that is a "hot deal" or not.

Look over in the For Sale column for Compuwiz, he sells some unlocked Durons at very decent prices occasionally.

This is my first post so be gentle.
Great prices at Newegg ,but site states that service and support is only provided buy the manufacturer "NewEgg.com is a distributor only. Products sold by NewEgg.com are not manufactured by NewEgg.com. The products may, however, be covered by each manufacturer's warranty, service, and support policy (if any). NewEgg.com assigns and passes through to the Customer any warranty of the manufacturer, and Customer acknowledges that it shall have recourse only under such warranties and only as against the manufacturer of the products."
but Epox site states "EPoX maintains a standard one-year warranty directly through its distributors on all of its products unless otherwise indicated. Repair & replacement (warranty service or RMA) for non-direct customers are carried out through the appropriate distribution channel (your place of purchase). Before you purchase an EPoX product please verify these terms with your place of purchase. Contact your retailer (place of purchase) for all warranty/RMA issues.Your primary source for technical support is your place of purchase -- they will have the most current information about your configuration. Sorry at this time we only provide warranty service to direct customers. All non-direct customers should obtain repair, exchanges or refunds from their place of purchase only.

It sounds like you are left out to dry after 30 days.
I am building my first computer and don't know if I can handle that.

In my experience, Buy PS and motherboard local, Most retail have a period to exchange or replace, once all things works, it's will not die in years.

if you or your friend has TAX ID, use it to aviod tax

You may pay a little more to aviod following situation: ( I meet all of them)

Motherboard not fit the case. (even atx to atx)
PS can't boot the MB
Fan not fit.
Even everythings looks fine, PCI bus may not fit in
